je ne sais quoi — Effortless Elegance
Beautiful spaces begin with how you want to feel.
There is something about a beautifully designed space that you recognize the moment you enter it. The proportions feel right. The rooms flow naturally. Materials, colors and textures seem to belong together. Nothing feels forced or overly considered — and yet every detail has a purpose.
It is that indefinable quality — that je ne sais quoi — that inspires our approach to design.
At Latina & Kurtz, we create residential and commercial environments that feel refined without being formal, sophisticated without sacrificing warmth, and deeply personal to the people who experience them.
Our goal isn't simply to create a beautiful space. It's to create a space that feels beautifully yours.
Our Design Services
Interior Design
Where your vision finds its most refined expression.
Color. Texture. Materials. Lighting. Furnishings. Finishes. Art. Accessories.
Interior design is where countless individual decisions become one beautifully composed environment.
We thoughtfully curate each element while remaining grounded in the character of the architecture and, most importantly, the personality of the people who call the space their own.
Space Planning & Architectural Design
Beautiful spaces should live as beautifully as they look.
Thoughtful space planning allows us to reconsider flow, improve relationships between rooms, maximize available square footage and uncover opportunities that may not be immediately obvious.
From strategic reconfiguration to schematics, drawings and specifications, we transform possibilities into a thoughtful plan for what comes next. Both existing brands already emphasize the importance of space planning, including functionality, flow and the technical documentation required to translate an idea into a buildable project.
Kitchen & Bath Design
Where everyday function becomes something extraordinary.
Some of the most hardworking rooms in a home deserve some of its most thoughtful design.
We approach kitchens and baths as complete environments — considering layout, cabinetry, storage, lighting, fixtures, surfaces, materials and the small details that elevate everyday routines.
The result is a space that functions intuitively while carrying the warmth, personality and effortless elegance that makes it distinctly yours.
Thoughtful by Design
Effortless is anything but accidental.
The most natural-feeling interiors are often the result of the most thoughtful planning.
We begin by understanding you — how you live, what inspires you, what isn't working and what you imagine your space could become. From there, creativity meets intention as we explore layout, proportion, light, materials, color, furnishings and the architectural details that give a space its character.
Darla Kurtz brings an intuitive design perspective to this process — seeing possibilities within a space and finding the subtle details that can transform something ordinary into something memorable.
The result is more than a collection of beautiful things. It is a cohesive environment where beauty and function exist comfortably together.
That philosophy continues the Kurtz approach of creating spaces that are naturally balanced, timeless and quietly luxurious, while prioritizing flow and the way clients actually live within them.
